Rahul Gandhi visits flood-affected north Bihar

Purnia, Sep 9 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived here today on a two-day visit to the flood-ravaged districts of north Bihar.

Official sources said Mr Gandhi arrived at the Bagdogra airport near Siliguri in north Bengal from New Delhi at around 13-30 hours and soon left for Purnia town by road.

After a brief halt here and visit to some relief camps, Mr Gandhi and his entourage would go to Araria to see some more camps there and interact with the flood victims.He is also expected to distribute relief material among the victims.

After a night halt at Farbesganj,Mr Gandhi is scheduled to visit the flood-hit areas and several more relief camps in the worst- affected Madhepura,Supoul and Araria districts before leaving for Gorakhpur in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in the evening en route to New Delhi, the sources added.
