Lawyers in Pakistan to protests on Aug 28
Islamabad, August 23 : President of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan Aitzaz Ahsan on Saturday said the lawyers would hold countrywide sit-in protests on August 28 if the deposed Judges are not restored.
According to The News, he released an outline of their line of action where all the Bar Associations across the country will protest by staging a sit-in for two hours from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on August 28.
Ahsan also called on the traders to join in their protest by closing their business for two hours.
He further informed the media that the Bar offices will hold a general body meeting on Monday and will once again raise black flags on their offices.
Ahsan applauded the efforts of Rashid A. Rizvi and Ali Ahmed Kurd who were also present on the occasion.
He said there would be a peaceful demonstration in Islamabad by the representative lawyers at Constitutional Avenue on September 4 if there demands are not met.
