PPP nominates Zardari as their presidential candidate

Islamabad, Aug 22 (UNI) The Pakistan Peoples Party today nominated its co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari as the PPP's presidential candidate.

The unanimous recommendation from the members came at the Central Executive Committee meeting of the party.

Information Minister Sherry Rehman told reporters here late this evening that Mr Zardari thanked members for their gesture and said he would look into their request and announce his decision within the next 24 hours.
