We are unaware of Indian Mujahideen: top official
On Board Prime Minister's Special Aircraft, Aug 1 (UNI) Indian intelligence and security agencies are unaware of 'Indian Mujahideen', the so-called terrorist group which has claimed responsibility for the recent serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad.
''We are unaware of this Indian Mujahideen,'' a top government official said today.
Speaking to mediapersons accompanying Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Colombo to attend the 15th SAARC Summit, the official said the governent had certain leads on the Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts.
''We got some leads. We are working on them,'' he said.
Such blasts could not have been carried out without local support, the official said and did not rule out the possibility of outside involvement without being categorical.
He, however, said the blasts indicated there is an organisation which has the ''high-tech capability'' and the capacity to carry out such attacks. ''Obviously there is an organisation.'' Bangalore blasts showed great deal of sophistication and greater degree of computer specialisation.
