K'taka CM condoles Surjeet's death

Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today led the people of the state in mourning the demise of veteran CPI(M) leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet, who died in New Delhi this afternoon.

Expressing his grief in a condolence message here, Mr Yeddyurappa said with the demise of Mr Surjeet, the nation lost a great leader, who had exhibited unquestionable commitment to the cause of Communism in the country.

Former Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna also condoled the death of the leader.
