Koirala to attend SAARC summit in Sri Lanka
Kathmandu, Jul 28 (UNI) Outgoing Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala will lead the Nepalese delegation for the 15th summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to be held in Sri Lanka this week.
Mr Koirala has already resigned so it was expected that the new Prime Minister would lead the Summit. However, the formation of the new governent has not been completed as the Maoists do not have simple majority and other parties have not taken any initiative urging the largest party, the Maoists to form the government.
Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat would lead the delegation for the SAARC ministerial meeting.
Foreign Secretary Gyan Chandra Achary would lead the Nepalese delegation during the SAARC secretary level meeting to be held prior to the SAARC summit.
The 35-member delegation will also include Prime Minister's daughter, minister without portfolio, Sujata Koirala.
