Jana Nayagan Release: TN CM Vijay's Flick To Be Out On July 24

The makers of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's Jana Nayagan have finally announced the release date of the movie. The much-delayed flick will hit the screens on July 23.

In a post on X, KVN Productions, which has funded the film, wrote, "Tested by fire. Forged by time. Built for history. The tougher the battle, The louder the victory. #JanaNayaganFromJuly23 #JanaNayakuduFromJuly23 #JanNetaFromJuly23"

It comes a week after the movie cleared the censor process. Jana Nayagan has bagged 'A' certificate. The board reportedly asked the makers for 12 modifications, including scenes that feature a falling national flag, references to Vijay's party TVK, and certain cuss words and religious words in order to allow its release.

The initial plan to release Jana Nayagan was on January 9. The makers were forced to postpone the release due to censor issues. The legal battle between the makers and the board delayed the film release by six months.

As per an Indian Express report, the run time of the movie is 183.52 minutes. It means the movie is a three-hour movie at a time when 130 to 150-minute movies have become a norm.

As it is the last movie of Vijay, there are massive expectations riding on Jana Nayagan. The makers have renegotiated the deals over its delayed release.

Trade trackers say that the hype around Jana Nayagan has reached new heights after Vijay's TVK emerged victorious in the state elections and the actor became the Chief Minister of the state.

H Vinoth's film has Pooja Hegde in the female lead and Bobby Deol plays the role of antagonist.

The advance booking of tickets are expected to begin shortly in India. However, it has commenced in some overseas centres including in the UK. The makers are expected to release the movie with special premieres across the globe to cash in on the craze around the movie.
