Wallace and Gromit turned into video game

London, July 26 : Popular animated characters Wallace and Gromit will soon be hitting store shelves in the form of a video game.

TellTale Games is turning the cheese-loving, mild-mannered inventor Wallace and his loyal canine, created by Bristol-based animator Nick Park of Aardman Animations, into an episodic game.

"We're certainly going for the clay look with this," the Telegraph quoted Dan Connors, the company's CEO, as saying.

"Clay presents a challenge if you really get into the detail of it. For example, adding fingerprints in a medium where there aren't any is one of the discussions of how far we should go with the game's detail," he added.

He said that the game, Grand Adventures, will allow players to be either Wallace or Gromit as the pair embark on entrepreneurial schemes involving curious contraptions. It would also feature more physical and situation-based comedy.

Aardman has produced three Wallace and Gromit short films out of which wo won Oscars and one was nominated.

The full-length animated feature The Curse of The Were-Rabbit won an animated film Academy Award in 2006.

The company is working on a fourth animated short based on the pair, A Matter of Loaf and Death.
