District Inspector of Schools shot dead

Jaunpur, May 28 (UNI) A District Inspector of Schools was gunned down by a teacher here today.

Anjani Kumar Srivastava, teacher at Sri Krishan Dutta Inter College, opened fire on Dr Dinesh Chand Pandey, following a spat over a salary bill, police said.

Pandey, who sustained severe bullet wound, was hurriedly taken to district hospital, where he was reffered to Varanasi.

However, he was declared brought dead by the medicos in Varanasi.

Meanwhile, senior police and administrative officials rushed to the spot.

A search to nab the absconding accused was on.
