Congress to come back to power: Kharge
Bangalore, May 21 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjuna Kharge today expressed his confidence in his party bouncing back to power with absolute majority as people wants a stable and functional government in the state.
Speaking to UNI, Mr Kharge claimed that Congress party was way ahead than any other parties in the earlier two phase of elections which concluded recently.
Stating that Congress has done well in the previous two phase of elections and according to party's assessment it will get over 80 to 85 seats out of the total 155 constituencies which went to elections earlier.
Claiming that party has strong base in the Mumbai-Karnataka area and two districts of Hyderabad-Karantaka region which goes to poll tomorrow in the third and final phase elections, Mr Kharge expressed confidence that Congress will form the next government on its own strength.
Replying to questions, Mr Kharge said that Congress has not projected any leader as the Chief ministerial candidate before the elections as it was not tradition of the party. "Party high command will take a decision on the issue of leadership and everybody will bound by it", he added.
