Lucknow, May 21 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a board to control the growing crime of foeticide.
As per official sources here today, the board has been set up under the auspices of Medical and Health Minister Anant Kumar Mishra.
It would comprise 15 members with medical and health department principal secretary as its vice-president.
Vidhan Sabha members Meeta Gautam, Archana Saroj, Rajni Tiwari, former Lucknow University vice-chancellor Rooprekha Verma, voluntary organisations and few lady doctors have been included into the membership of the board.
The board aims to spread awareness among people to check sex determination and foeticide.
