Police closes case against former LDF minister
Kochi, May 15 (UNI) Kerala Police informed a lower court here today that a case of forgery and benami land transactions charged against former PWD Minister T U Kuruvilla was a ''mistake of fact''.
In a report filed in the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate's court, the police said that the Kadvanathara police station had earlier registered a case agianst Mr Kuruvilla on a private complaint by NRI businessman K G Abraham alleging that the minister and his son were trying to cheat him by selling government land on the basis of forged documents.
There was no evidence to prove the allegations of benami transactions, police added.
