Indian Ambassador to Nepal holds farewell meet with Koirala
Kathmandu, Apr 22 (UNI) Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, who is leaving after completing his tenure in Nepal, held farewell meeting with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at Baluwatar today.
Mr Mukherjee expressed that India would continue its support and assistance for the ongoing peace process and political stability in Nepal.
The recent political development of Nepal was also discussed during the meeting. Prime Minister Koirala appreciated the ambassador for his role in the peace process of Nepal.
Mr Mukherjee's tenure had completed a few months ago, but he continued his role due to the CA polls in Nepal.
The newly appointed Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood is due to arrive here in few days to succeed the outgoing Ambassador.
Shiv Shankar Mukherjee had been appointed as Indian High Commissioner for Britain.
