Next hearing in Kidney case fixed for April 11

Ambala, Apr 2 (UNI) Barring Dr Jeevan, all the accused named in the infamous kidney scam case, were today produced by the CBI in the court of special CBI magistrate Dr Abdul Majid here today.

The CBI Magistrate directed the apex probe agency to ensure the personal presence of Jeevan, who is under custody of the Rajasthan Police, on next date of hearing which was fixed for April 11.

He ordered that Jeevan should be brought here on production warrants on next date like the two accused Jagdish and Giasuddin lodged in the Tihar jail were brought here.

Those present in the court were the kingpin of the kidney removal scam Dr Amit Kumar, Dr K.K. Aggarwal, Saraj, Manoj, Upendra, Nurse Linda, Suresh, Harpal, Ramesh and Umesh.

Puja, wife of Dr Jeevan who is on interim bail, appeared in the court of her own while the rest were produced by the CBI for committing them to the special court.

All are facing the kidney removal case being pursued by the CBI after unearthing of the organ scam at Gurgaon from where Dr Amit operated for transplantation of kidneys removed from the bodies of innocent people.
