Life term prisoner released for good conduct in Andaman
Port Blair, Mar 18 (UNI) Lt Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Bhopinder Singh has ordered release of a life term prisoner from the South Andaman District Jail on the Sentence Review Board's recommendation.
''The release recommendation for the convict Malkit Singh, who has served actual sentence of over 14 years, has been given after taking into account his good work, conduct in the prison and social antecedents,'' Superintendent of Prothrapur District Jail in South Andaman Krishnamurthy told UNI.
He also informed that the convict had attained expertise in cane crafts besides gardening.
