Mitsubishi developing environ-friendly Green cars
Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) Automaker Mitsubishi Motors is working to build more environmentally-friendly cars that will easily surpass the EuroV demands.
Based on the company's ''I-MIEV (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle)'' concept car that was displayed in last month's Auto Expo in New Delhi, protypes are currently being tested in the company's headquarters in Japan, Hindustan Motors vice president Y V S Vijay Kumar informed at a press conference here today.
The company's new breed of green cars will run on electrical charge which will take only 20 minutes to charge with a running range of 150 kms and could be available for a worldwide launch as early as mid 2009.
The company is currently offering the ''Cedia ALPG'' sedan that uses LPG instead of petrol or diesel in India.
