Six Indian girls in Dubai plead not guilty to prostitution
Dubai, March 6 (UNI) Seven housemaids, including six Indians, and one Indonesian, yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charge of prostitution before the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
The accused, who were not identified, were in the age group between 28 and 37 years. The prosecution claimed they indulged in prostitution in November last year in the Naif area, the Khaleej Times reported.
The accused were arrested after police raided an apartment on December 1 last year on receiving a tip-off that it was allegedly being used for prostitution.
According to the police, the women admitted that they were into prostitution. The police also seized condoms and contraceptive pills from the apartment.
The next hearing has been fixed for March 16.
