Third Supplementary Budget passed amidst Opposition boycott
Ranchi, Mar 4 (UNI) The third Supplementary Budget of the Jharkhand Government was today passed by voice vote in the state Assembly amidst Opposition boycott.
Deputy Chief Minister and in-charge of finance department Stephen Marandi said about Rs 174 crore of the total budget would be incurred under non-planned expenditure.
Mr Marandi further said about Rs 56.89 crore would be spent for the centrally aided National Agricultural Development Programme.
Besides, the Budget included expenditure on salaries of non-teaching staff of minority educational institutions and a few other small projects, Mr Marandi informed the House.
Earlier, Mr Saryu Rai (BJP) moved a cut motion, stating that budget included trivial expenditure.
The Opposition members staged boycott after the cut motion fell down.
