Burglars held, Rs 8 lakh worth valuables recovered

Hyderabad, Feb 13 (UNI) The city police today arrested two notorious criminals involved in burglaries and recovered Rs eight lakh worth gold and silver jewellery and electronic goods from them.

Police said Asif Nagar Divisional Special Teams apprehended Mohd Kaleem (26) and Adil Khan (20) at Mehndipatnam this morning.

They confessed that they had committed eight house burglaries and were involved in two bag-lifting cases.

The teams recovered 50 tolas of gold jewellery, 1.5 kg of silver jewellery and electronic goods like digital cameras, DVD players and binoculars from the accused.

The accused would be produced before a local court, police added.
