Rains bring temperature down in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27 (UNI) Isolated rainfall in various places of Orissa during the last two days brought down the temperature, forcing people in the state to take out their warm clothes.

The local Met office informed that the capital city, which received 7.8 mm of rainfall, recorded a maximum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 16.9 degrees Celsius.

Sundergarah, which recorded a minimum temperature of 12.4 degrees Celsius was the coldest place in the state..

The weather office predicted that sky will remain partly cloudy and rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at a few places during the next 24 hours.

Upper air circulation over Bihar and neighbouring areas had been attributed as the reason for the unseasonal rain over Orissa.
