Mumbai blasts: Snap ties with Pakistan says VHP
New Delhi, Jul 12: All transport links and diplomatic ties with Pakistan should be snapped with immediate effect and a war notice served on the Islamic State which has become the breeding ground for terrorists, the VHP-Bajrang Dal said today, condemning the serial blasts of Mumbai that killed over 180 people.
VHP and Bajrang Dal activists, who staged a demonstration here against the blasts, also charged the UPA government with going soft on terrorism. They demanded the reitroduction of the stringent POTA provisions to curb the menace.
''Pakistan is importing terrorism into India. We need to snap all ties and declare that we would attack them if they do not curb terorrism radiating from their soil,'' Bajrang Dal state convenor Ashok Kapur said.
Police detained a few Bajrang Dal activists when they turned violent and attacked a DTC bus. They were later released.
State VHP chief Om Prakash Singhal also addressed the gathering.
