Mumbai's lifeline back on track
Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) A day after the serial blasts, suburban rail service on the Western line have returned to normal, after suspension of service last evening here.
Pranay Prabakar, Public Relations Officer (PRO) Western Railway told UNI, ''Repair works on the affected route is being undertaken on a war footing since last evening, hence train services have been restored, which would be gradually increased after the entire stretch of repair work is completed.'' Long distance trains have begun running according to their schedules, he added.
Meanwhile, train services on suburban Western, Central and Harbour lines have started functioning. At present fewer trains are plying on the Western suburban line.
