Prime Minister not to meet separatists in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 24 : Ruling out the moderate Hurriyat leaders meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the two-day Round Table Conference on Kashmir, the Centre today said it was for the separatists to come up with ''mechanism and proposal' for the future talks.

''The Prime Minister is not going to meet the separatists, who have decided to boycott the Round Table on Kashmir,'' Prime Minister's media advisor Sanjay Baru said.

He dismissed Hurriyat's claim that participation of large number of political parties and other leaders have already overcrowded the conference.

The purpose of the two-day conference was to consider all shades of opinion about the resolution of the Kashmir issue, he added.
