Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 20: Senior BJP leader L K Advani today invited the Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) to join hands with the NDA to fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana people for the grant of statehood to the region.

Addressing mediapersons during his 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra' here, Mr Advani said,''In case the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) fails to introduce the Bill for Telangana during the Parliament session scheduled to be held from May 10, TRS should quit the UPA. The NDA is ready to fight along with the TRS in future.'' The TRS would be morally obliged to quit the UPA if it failed to implement the promises made during the elections, he said.

The BJP would support the Bill for if the Congress-led UPA government introduced it in Parliament, Mr Advani added.

Telangana Rashtriya Samiti is a coalition partner of the UPA.
