Police comb forests in view of Advani yatra

Adilabad, Apr 19: Police have taken precautionary measures on a very large scale to provide security to BJP senior leader L K Advani who is visiting this naxalite-infested district.

District SP Kripananda Tripathi Ujala told reporters today police parties were combing the forests to prevent any threat to Mr Advani from Maoists or other insurgent groups.

Mr Advani, who is scheduled to reach Adilabad district later this evening as part of his yatra, is expected to address meetings at three places in the district. He left Hyderabad this morning after addressing a press conference. He will enter Maharashtra tonight.
