Sania Mirza Divorce: Did Shoaib Malik Marry Sana Javed Against His Family's Wishes?

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has tied the knot for the third time as he married actress Sana Javed. Thus ending his second marriage with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.

Both the newly-married couple took their social media account to announce the news of their marriage. On Instagram, Javed shared a few pictures and captioned: Alhamdullilah ❤️ "And We created you in pairs" - وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا

Speaking to PTI, Sania's father Imran Mirza said, "it was a 'khula'", which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband. On the other hand, Sania has confirmed that they took divorce a few months ago.

In a statement, her family said, "Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead! At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,"

Shoiab had first married Ayesha Siddiqui and he ended his 8-year marriage after falling in love with Sania.

Sania and Shoaib tied the knot in 2010 and they were blessed with Izaan in 2018.
