Neeraj Chopra Celebrates Marriage to Tennis Player Himani Mor in Surprise Ceremony
Neeraj Chopra, the celebrated javelin thrower, recently married tennis player Himani Mor in a private ceremony. The 27-year-old athlete shared the news on social media, announcing his union with 25-year-old Himani from Sonipat, Haryana. "I began a new chapter of my life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after," Chopra posted alongside wedding photos.

Himani Mor is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She previously studied Political Science and Physical Education at Miranda House, Delhi University. Her brother, Himanshu, is also a tennis player. In 2017, she represented Delhi University at the World University Games in Taipei.
Himani Mor's Tennis Achievements
According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA), Himani achieved her career-best national rankings of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. She began participating in AITA events that same year. Additionally, she serves as an assistant coach for women's tennis at Amherst College in Massachusetts.
Mor's early education took place at Little Angels School in Sonipat. Her school website highlights her gold medal win at the World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia in 2016.
Family and Wedding Details
Chopra's uncle Bhim confirmed that the wedding occurred in India but did not disclose the exact location. "Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back. I can't tell the place where it took place," Bhim stated from Khandra village near Panipat, Haryana.
Bhim also mentioned that the couple has left for their honeymoon but did not reveal their destination. "The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US. They have left the country for honeymoon and I am not aware of the places where they are going," he added.
Neeraj Chopra's Athletic Journey
Chopra, who clinched a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and a silver at the Paris Games, was training under Czech javelin legend Jan Zelezny in South Africa before his marriage. His achievements have made him one of India's most prominent athletes.
The couple's unexpected wedding has caught many by surprise, given Chopra's status as one of India's most eligible bachelors. Despite their busy schedules and commitments, they managed to keep their relationship private until now.
