The 2023 was surely a great one for cricket lovers around the globe as they witnessed many nail-biting moments. In the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, fans got goosebumps on many occasions.
The extravaganza show was studded by outstanding performances including splendid batting performances, and dismissals, but the table-turning moments were the catches of top batsmen. Teams from around the world tried to showcase their best skills at every stage and entertained the fans to the best.

1. Travis Head's backward running catch in the India vs Australia finals is still a nightmare for Indian fans. Arguably, Rohit Sharma's dismissal was the moment when India 40 percent chance of scoring big against the visitors. It was a flighted delivery by Maxwell, to which, Rohit Sharma tried to hit over the long on after walking down the pitch, but failed as the ball took a thick edge before going high. Head, who ran from the cover position in the backward direction dived in the air to catch the ball safely.
2. Bangladesh wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim's one-hand stunner shocked Sri Lanka in the league match during the ICC World Cup. He caught Kusal Mendis behind the stumps diving to his left and picked the ball from the first slip position. It was an outswinger from Shoriful Islam, that kissed left-hander Kusal Mendis's bat before it was pouched by Rahim.
3. Pakistan's Haris Rauf made it to the list of best catches with his thrilling caught and bowl. In South Africa's nervy chase, Rauf took a stunner to dismiss Lungi Ngidi to knock down the ninth wicket. Rauf caught Ngidi with one hand in his follow-through run-up after the right-hander was trying to play the ball on the leg side.
4. Rajasthan Royal's Sandeep Sharma caught Suryakumar Yadav running back from the short fine leg with his arms fully outstretched. It was nothing but an unbelievable Superman catch. For pulling a stunner, Sharma was also awarded with the best catch of the match title in the game against Mumbai Indians.
5. The Afghan cricketer's forward running catch was surely one of the best moments during the IPL 2023 edition. In a match against Lucknow Super Giants, Khan caught Kyle Mayres flying in the air making it the Best Catch of the IPL 2023 Season.
