RCB Team In IPL: This Royal Challengers Bangalore Player To Retire After 2024 Edition
Associated with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), India's one of the most experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, is all set to bid adieu to franchise cricket after the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). According to the reports, Dinesh Karthik is also likely to decide on his international career, once he announces his IPL retirement.
Talking to the media on condition of anonymity, a BCCI official said, "This 2024 edition will be Dinesh Karthik's last IPL appearance. He will decide his international retirement after the IPL."

Notably, Dinesh Karthik has played all 16 seasons of IPL since 2008 and missed only a couple of matches. Throughout his IPL journey, Dinesh Karthik was associated with 6 teams namely Delhi Daredevils (Now Delhi Capitals), Kings XI Punjab (Now Punjab Kings), Gujarat Lions, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Karthik also led KKR in the 2018 and 2019 editions, resulting in qualifying for the playoffs and securing the fifth spot at the points table, respectively. However, he switched to RCB after spending four years with the Kolkata side.
The much-awaited Indian Premier League 2024 will commence with RCB's match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium against the home side Chennai Super Kings, led by captain cool MS Dhoni.
In his glittering career, Dinesh Karthik notched 4516 runs studded with 20 half-centuries in 242 IPL matches. He averages 25.81 with an impressive strike rate above 132. Karthik has been handy with glooves too as he held 141 catches and stumped 36 batsmen with his super flexible and quick wicketkeeping skills.
