Money Or Dignity? Rahul Dravid Once Again Shows Why He Is A True Indian Legend
Most of us work day and night to earn money and dream of becoming a 'Crorepati' and eventually agree to do all sorts of jobs. Many people do compromise with their principles when offered a hefty amount. But there are also a few people who keep their head up and say a straight no to money which they think that they don't deserve or may harm their self-respect.
In a similar incident, former India Head Coach and once famous as the Wall of India's batting lineup, Rahul Dravid said no to 2.5 crore rupee, which shocked everyone and raised respect for the latter.

After India won the T20 World Cup 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a reward of Rs 125 crores for the entire team and staff members, who went to the USA and West Indies. The amount was to be divided amoung 42 members of the Indian cricket contingent according to their roles.
As per the scheduled division, players will get Rs 5 crore each and coaches will pocket Rs 2.5. But the cricket body reportedly said that Head Coach Rahul Dravid will also get Rs 5 crore, after reviewing his hard work and results. However, Rahul Dravid did not accept the offer and announced that he would take only 2.5 crores, just like the rest of the coaches, who have worked equally to strengthen the team.
Now, after ending his India coaching stint as a World Cup winner, Rahul Dravid is likely to join an IPL franchise as a mentor.
But at this point, the Bengaluru man seems to be keen to take a step back and relax after a hectic over two years tenure as the India head coach, before taking the next career move. Meanwhile, the BCCI on Tuesday appointed former India opener Gautam Gambhir as Dravid's successor for the next three years. Under Gambhir's coaching, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their third IPL trophy earlier this year.
