The 2024 Duleep Trophy will kick off on September 5, featuring a much-anticipated clash between India A and India B. Shubman Gill has been appointed captain of the India A side as part of his grooming for future national team leadership. Middle Order and Bowling Attack

The middle-order spot is contested by three batting all-rounders: Tilak Verma, Riyan Parag, and Shivam Dube. Tilak Verma's superior first-class record with a batting average of 50.42 makes him a strong candidate for the number five position.

Kuldeep Yadav leads the spin attack alongside Mumbai's Tanush Kotian, who had a breakthrough Ranji Trophy season. There is a possibility that Parag might be considered as the second spinner, which would allow him to bat at number seven instead of Kotian.
