The opener’s 56 from 42 deliveries held Delhi’s reply together and also brought a major personal landmark. With this knock, Rahul moved ahead of AB de Villiers for the most scores of fifty or more against Rajasthan Royals in IPL history.

Delhi’s chase had been set up by Abishek Porel, who attacked from the outset with 51 off 31 balls. Porel and Rahul added 105 runs for the opening wicket, giving Delhi Capitals a strong platform while keeping the required rate under firm control.

After the foundation from the openers, DC captain Axar Patel closed out the contest with an unbeaten 34 from 18 deliveries. Ashutosh Sharma provided a brisk cameo alongside Axar, as Delhi Capitals reached 194 for five in 19.2 overs against Rajasthan Royals.
