Is Sania Mirza Getting Married To Mohammed Shami After Divorce With Shoaib Malik? Here's What Her Father Says

Rumours have been circulating for some time now that tennis sensation Sania Mirza is preparing to tie the knot with cricketer Mohammed Shami.

These reports gained traction because both athletes had previously come out of their respective marriages. However, Sania's father, Imran Mirza, has finally broken silence on these speculations.

Speaking to NDTV, Sania Mirza's father Imran said, "This is all rubbish. She has not even met him."

A few months ago, fans of both sports stars found the idea of their marriage intriguing and took to social media to declare them a "tailor-made couple." Some fans went as far as morphing their pictures together and creating wedding photos.

One of these morphed images was taken from Sania's first marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, and another from Shami's first marriage to Hasin Jahan.

Earlier this year, Mirza's family said in a statement that she has divorced Shoiab. However, she has also wished her ex-husband well while requesting people to refrain from speculations about their relationship.

"Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!

At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy," a statement from her said.

It has to be noted that they have a five-year-old son Izaan who lives with Sania in India.

As far as Shami's marriage is concerned, Hasin Jahan made domestic violence allegations against him and accused him of having extra-marital affairs.
