Inzamam Ul Haq Doubts Arshdeep Singh's Early Reverse Swing, Says Something Was Wrong With Ball

It looks like Pakistan is still not able to digest its exit from the ICC T20 World Cup. Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam Ul Haq, who was once known to make bold decisions and win matches for his country, has recently given a bizarre statement with which no one is ready to agree. In a cricket analysis show, on Pakistan's 24 News HD channel, legends Salim Malik and Inzmam Ul Haq were talking about India's performance at the prestigious tournament, when Inzamam questioned Indian bowlers' reverse swing in the match against Australia.

Salim Malik praised speedster Arshdeep Singh and his reverse swing, which was more than a puzzle for Australian batters. He said when he saw the ball moving in the opposite direction, he understood that the men in blue were going to win that game.

Salim was lauding the young pacer when Inzamam interrupted him to put a question mark on reverse swinging balls which stunned everyone in the 15th over of the game. He said if the ball was swinging in the 15th over, it means bowlers prepared it in the 12th or 13th over. Umpires need to open their eyes if any such thing is happening.

Saleem Malik then joined the chorus to allege that officials keep their eyes closed when it comes to some top teams, highlighting India.

To which, Inzamam added the kind of reverse swing that was happening in the match clearly show that something was fishy, and "done to the ball".

He added that if Pakistani bowlers had got such kind of swing, then people would have started questioning them.

However, he himself later clarified that maybe because the wicket was rough and flat, and batters were hitting the ball hard, the shape of the ball could have changed which helped Indian bowlers.

For doubting Indian talent Inzamam is now facing criticism on social media by cricket fans.
