Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Star Tells Why Virat Kohli Is Missing India Vs England Test Series

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player AB de Villiers on Saturday cleared the air on some of the biggest questions that every Indian cricket fan was asking: Where is Virat Kohli? Why he is absent from the India vs England Test series?

Revealing the secret, the former RCB star said that he checked on Virat and found that Anushka Sharma is expecting her second baby, so Virat Kohli wants to spend maximum time with his family. De Villiers', who shared the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) dugout with Virat Kohli for almost a decade, is also a close friend of Virat Kohli, and his statement ended all the speculations and answered why Virat Kohli has been missing the red ball cricket.

"All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is doing well," AB de Villiers said in his YouTube show.

"His (Virat Kohli) second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that," Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) former player added.

Earlier, there were rumors that Virat Kohli's mother Saroj Kohli was not well, following which Virat Kohli decided not to play cricket and stay with the family. However, the speculations were junked by Virat Kohli's brother Vikas Kohli stating that everyone in their family is all right and their mother is fit and fine. He requested everyone to respect their privacy and allow Virat Kohli some time, as he will make return to the cricket pitch very soon.

The Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) had informed that Virat Kohli opted to pull out after consulting with Indian captain Rohit Sharma citing personal reasons. The cricket governing body had also requested media and fans to respect the cricketer's privacy as he has some family responsibilities too.
