BCCI Unveils India Squad For First Two Tests Against England: Who's In And Who's Out?

The India squad for the initial two matches of the upcoming five-match Test series against England was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday. The sole new addition to the team is wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel. Pacer Mohammed Shami has been excluded from the squad as he continues his recovery process from an injury sustained during the ODI World Cup last year. Notably, Shami was also absent from the India squad during the recent tour of South Africa. The spin-focused squad includes Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. Vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah is set to lead India's pace attack alongside Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Avesh Khan. The first Test match is scheduled to take place on January 25 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
