Bang Vs NZ: Mushfiqur Rahim Gets Out In A Bizzare Style, Watch Video

Bangladesh cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim on Wednesday got out in a very unusual manner against New Zealand in the second test match. The wicket-keeper batsman, who caught many batsmen behind the stumps, today caught himself by 'handling the ball.' With the bizarre moment, Mushfiqur Rahim registered himself as the first batsman to get out like that in the history of Bangladesh cricket. Before the Bangladeshi cricketer, 10 players including Mohinder Amarnath, Mohsin Khan, and Michael Vaughan got out in the same and rare fashion.

Rahim scored 35 runs from 83 balls before the umpire sent him back to the pavilion for stopping the ball with his hand which is against the rules of the game. The video of Rahim getting out in the unusual style is trending on social media. In the 41st over, Kyle Jamieson bowled a full-length delivery, which was easily defended by Rahim on the backfoot, but as it hit the ground and was moving backward outside off stump, Rahim pushed it.

On New Zealand's appeal for handling the ball, umpires had a word and then referred the decision to the third umpire, who then decided to give the decision in the visitor's favor and the batsman had to go back to the dressing room.

What Does The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Rule Book Say:

According to the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) rule book, if a batsman wilfully touches the ball while in play with a hand will be declared 'Out Handled The Ball.' Only in case of consent with a fielder or to avoid injury, a batsman is allowed to use his hand to touch the ball.

At stumps on the first day of the second test at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh got out for only 172 runs against the Kiwis, who are 117 runs behind.
