Noida Techie Suffers Heart Attack, Dies On Cricket Pitch

An engineer collapsed and died on a cricket pitch in Noida, according to a viral video. As per the reports, the deceased Vikas Negi who was playing cricket with his colleagues at the stadium in Noida fell midway as he suffered a heart attack. The tragic incident took place on Sunday. Players who were standing near to Vikas immediately ran towards him when they saw him collapsing. Then they rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Following the incident, the Noida police referred Vikas' body for an Autopsy test, in which, a heart attack was underlined as the cause of death. The Autopsy report suggests that Vikas had recovered from COVID-19, and was healthy enough. He was used to play sports to keep himself fit.

Earlier, it was believed that Heart attacks only affected older individuals, but in the post-Covid era, young people aged between 30 to 40 years have been victims of Heart attacks more. Some reports suggest that the rapid rise in heart attack cases is because of fast-paced lifestyles and unhealthy eating habits.

In another tragic incident, a 52-year-old man died in Mumbai when a ball hit the back side of his head. According to an eye witness, the incident happened at Dadkar Maidan in Matunga when a speeding ball hit a man's back of the head. He was also playing cricket on the adjacent pitch, hence, couldn't see the ball coming towards him. "He fell and was rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead," said the eye witness.

Cricket matches were being played in the Kutchhi Visa Oswal Vikas Legend Cup, a T20 tournament for elderly people.

After filling the accidental death case, the Police had sent the body for an autopsy, which ruled out out possibility of an intentional attempt of killing.
