WATCH - Arvind Kejriwal Slams BJP's Decade Of Inaction, Highlights AAP's Welfare Schemes

In a bold statement, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its lack of substantial contributions in Delhi over the past decade.

Kejriwal accused the BJP of relying solely on criticism and personal attacks against him to garner votes, contrasting this with AAP's approach of running a campaign rooted in developmental work and welfare initiatives.

AAP's Positive Campaign: Welfare Schemes Take Center Stage

Kejriwal highlighted AAP's recent announcements, which have resonated strongly with the people of Delhi. These include:

  • Mahila Samman Yojana: A financial support program providing ₹1,000 monthly allowance to eligible women, aimed at empowering Delhi's women financially.
  • Free Medical Treatment for Senior Citizens: A healthcare initiative to ensure elderly residents of Delhi receive free treatment, covering both government and private hospitals.

The Delhi cabinet has already approved the ₹1,000 allowance under the Mahila Samman Yojana, and an official notification has been issued. Kejriwal noted that the extensive public response and registrations for these schemes have left the BJP "rattled."

BJP's Reaction and Allegations of Criticism

Kejriwal alleged that, in contrast to AAP's focus on governance and welfare, the BJP has failed to deliver impactful results in Delhi over the last ten years. "The BJP has no work to show in Delhi. They are asking for votes only by criticizing and abusing Kejriwal," he remarked, emphasizing AAP's developmental agenda as the party's unique selling point.

Registrations Trigger Political Tensions

The success of AAP's registration drives for the Mahila Samman Yojana and the senior citizens' healthcare scheme has seemingly heightened political tensions. According to Kejriwal, the BJP's discomfort reflects its inability to match AAP's impactful governance and welfare programs.

A Vision for Delhi's Future

Reiterating his commitment to Delhi's progress, Kejriwal urged voters to recognize the stark difference in approaches between the two parties. While AAP continues to introduce and implement policies for the benefit of citizens, Kejriwal claimed that the BJP has resorted to negative tactics, failing to address the real needs of Delhi's populace.

As the election season intensifies, the contrasting strategies of AAP and BJP are likely to dominate the political discourse, with welfare initiatives and developmental promises remaining at the forefront.
