Sandeep Dikshit Predicts Intense Congress-BJP Fight In 45-50 Delhi Seats
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, who has been fielded from the New Delhi constituency, said Congress seemingly stands head-to-head with BJP in nearly two-thirds of the seats.
According to Dikshit, the battle is set against the BJP in approximately 45 to 50 of the 70 constituencies, positioning AAP as the primary competitor in only about nine areas. This delineation underscores the Congress party's firm stance in the electoral fray and marks AAP's challenging position amidst allegations of anti-incumbency.

The former MP, who has previously served the New Delhi constituency, pointed to AAP's internal assessments, revealing concerns over losing a substantial number of seats—32 to be precise. These seats are under scrutiny due to the party's desire to replace incumbent MLAs, reflecting a broader disapproval that extends beyond individual representatives to the party's leader, Arvind Kejriwal. Dikshit's commentary sheds light on the mounting pressure and dissatisfaction that could derail AAP's electoral ambitions.
The Electoral Dynamics
Delving into the nuances of the electoral contest, Dikshit expressed anticipation for a robust competition against Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister. He envisions this as an opportunity to critique Kejriwal's contributions—or the lack thereof—to the constituency, contrasting it with his decade-long tenure as an MP, which he suggests has been marked by tangible work and achievements.
Dikshit's approach indicates a readiness to leverage his political record as a cornerstone of his campaign, aiming to galvanize voter support through a direct comparison of administrative efficacies.
