Salman Khurshid's wife hits out at Narendra Modi govt

New Delhi, Sept 18: Congress leader Salman Khurshid's wife Louise Khurshid, has hit out at the Narendra Modi government and alleged the government of political vendetta against her

This comes a day after the Union Social Justice ministry referred against her NGO for a CBI probe.

Defending her stand, Louise said that though she welcomed the CBI probe, she also pointed out 'why no action was taken against 93 NGOs that are blacklisted by the ministry.

Social Justice Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot on Tuesday had said that there is an NGO in Uttar Pradesh which took aid in the name of the disabled but was involved in malpractices.

"We have referred the case to law department for their suggestions so that it can be forwarded to CBI," he said.

On asking if her NGO could be blacklisted, Lousie said: " There is law in this land. No one can blacklist any NGO without legal reasons. If they do so, I will approach the Court."
