Narendra Modi declared BJP's PM candidate for 2014 elections

After the crucial BJP Parliamentary Board meeting at the party's headquarter in the national capital, Singh made the announcement. While addressing media, Singh informed that Modi would head for LK Advani's residence to seek the blessings of the veteran leader.
Advani earlier had claimed that BJP should not declare its PM candidate till the assembly elections which are due in five states -- Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Mizoram.
Other BJP leaders such as Sushma Swaraj and Murli Manohar Joshi, who too had opposed the announcement, later changed their decisions and backed Modi.
