Karol Bagh House Collapse: 3 Dead, 14 Injured | Delhi Police Report
A portion of a house collapsed in New Delhi's Karol Bagh area on Wednesday, leading to fears that some individuals might be trapped under the debris.
In response to the emergency, five fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and rescue operations are currently ongoing.

Karol Bagh House Collapse
The incident occurred near Billa Dargah, a locality in Delhi. Initial reports indicate that at least three people were trapped under the rubble. While two individuals have been successfully rescued, one person was found deceased after being taken to the hospital.
This building collapse follows a recent tragedy in central Delhi's Nabi Karim area, where a wall of a dargah fell on September 13, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. Additionally, a week earlier, a three-storey house in Meerut's Zakir Nagar collapsed, causing the deaths of ten people.
District Magistrate Deepak Meena has announced that financial assistance will be provided to the victims' families: ₹4 lakh per deceased individual from the natural calamity fund and ₹1.20 lakh for those who have suffered complete damage to their homes. Assistance is also being arranged for the loss of animals in these incidents.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress have expressed their condolences over the recent collapse. The SP, in a statement on X, mourned the loss of lives and called for adequate compensation and support for the affected families. Similarly, Congress has urged the state government to ensure proper treatment for the injured and appropriate compensation for the victims' families.
As rescue teams continue their work, the focus remains on ensuring that all trapped individuals are safely recovered and providing support to the affected families.
