IISc, IIT (Delhi) among world's top 200 institutes
New Delhi/ London, Sept 15: In a first, two Indian Institutes have made it to the top 200 list of the world's best universities.
The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has bagged the 147th spot on the list whereas Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has been ranked 179 this year.

According to the QS World University Rankings 2015, there are 14 Indian institutions in the world rankings and half of them are among the top 400.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked the top university in the world. Harvard University came in close second followed by University of Cambridge and Stanford University tied for the third place.
On the other hand, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras failed to make it on the top 200 list but had shown improvement as they were placed higher than the previous year's ranking.
