Earthquake jolts eastern India
New Delhi, May 21: Strong tremors jolted the eastern India on Wednesday night around 9.30 pm. The tremors were felt in several parts of the country including Odisha, Delhi, Chennai and Jharkhand.

The earthquake measured 6.0 on the Richter scale and the epicenter is said to be the Bay of Bengal.

There is no report of any casualties. No tsunami alert has been issued as the tremors were felt. The earthquake lasted for about 40 seconds.

The tremors were also felt in north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
