Delhi Weather Report: Lightning, Rumbling Sound, And Heavy Rain Hit National Capital; IMD Issues Red Warning
Delhi Weather Report: People of Delhi woke up early due to booming thunder, clouds bursting like sound as the National Capital witnessed an overnight rain. A fall in temperature is now expected, which will give people some relief from scorching heat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a red alert for Friday, predicting severe thunderstorms and strong winds between 70-80 kmph and heavy rainfall in several parts of Delhi-NCR.

The reason behind this sudden change in weather is said to be an intense cloud mass passing across Delhi, IMD's Palam station reported. The temperature in Delhi on Friday is likely to remain below 40-degrees Celsius. While rain and thunderstorms may continue for the next few days.
Residents were also alerted of waterlogging in some areas and heavy traffic jams.
Many domestic and international flights were also disturbed and delayed due to the bad weather situation, and people had to wait for hours at Delhi's IGI airport.
The Delhi airport issued an advisory for flyers on micro-blogging site X, stating "some flights had been impacted due to the inclement weather in the national capital. Passengers have been advised to contact their respective airlines for updated flight information."
