Delhi Weather Alert: Temperatures Finally Down? Weather Forecast From Today Till 8th June

According to the India Meteorological Department's Regional Centre in Delhi, heatwave conditions have finally stopped throughout the region.

IMD has given mostly green alerts till 8 June, so readers can relax and plan their days out for the next week without worrying about the heat.

Delhi Temperature And Other Weather Over The Next Week:

Across Delhi, temperatures have dropped, with almost all sections of the Union territory not experiencing anything above 43°C to 44°C. Minimum temperatures will also float between 28°C to 31°C, with Ridge going all the way down to 26°C today.

As for general weather, today, 2 June, IMD has given out a yellow warning for today, stating that there are expectations of thunderstorms in the region alongside light rain.

For the rest of the week, there are only green alerts, with the forecast saying that the skies will be either partly cloudy or mainly clear. There are predictions of strong winds hitting the region though, with speeds between 20 km/h and 35 km/h

IMD's Advice For The Yellow Alert Today:

While temperatures have gone down and there's no need to worry about heatwaves, IMD is still concerned that the storm that's been forecast today can cause problems like minor traffic disruption on roads, increased chance of vehicle accidents, disruption of electricity, and partial damage to vulnerable structures due to strong winds. They've given the following advice to combat these problems.

1. Check for traffic congestion on your route before leaving for your destination.
2. Follow any traffic advisories that are issued in this regard.
3. Stay away from power lines or electrical wires.
4. Stay indoors, close windows & doors and avoid travel if possible.
5. Take safe shelters; do not take shelter under trees.
6. Do not lie on concrete floors and do not lean against concrete walls.
7. Unplug electrical/ electronic appliances.
