Delhi Weather Alert: Heatwave Week Incoming; Weather Forecast From Today Till 16th June
According to the India Meteorological Department's Regional Centre in Delhi, the union territory this week is going to be hit by heatwave after heatwave for this week.
Yellow alerts have been given out by IMD for the entire week, so unless the rains from other parts of India come to Delhi, there won't be any reprieve from the heat anytime soon.

Delhi Weather And Temperature For The Next Week:
From today, 10 June till 16 June, readers can expect heatwave conditions throughout the region, as temperatures remain on the rise. Maximum temperatures during the day may float anywhere between 45°C to 46°C. Places like Narela and Pitampura may even experience temperatures going all the way up to 47°C.
A press release by IMD yesterday afternoon also predicted that Delhi, alongside the regions around it, will experience heatwave conditions for at least five days.
Minimum temperatures will not be kind this week as well, ranging from anywhere between 27°C to 32°C.
There aren't any forecasts for any other weather conditions like dust storms or light rain, but the next few days are also expected to be windy, with speeds reaching anywhere between 25 km/h to 40 km/h.
IMD's Advice For The Series Of Heatwave Yellow Alerts This Week:
IMD is concerned that the return of the heatwaves may cause problems for vulnerable sections of the population like children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses. It has given the following advice to help combat the heat:
- Avoid heat exposure.
- Wear lightweight, light coloured, loose, cotton clothes.
- Cover your head: Use a cloth, hat or umbrella.
