Delhi Weather And Temperature For The Next Week:
An orange alert has been given out for heatwaves today, 12 June, with yellow alerts lasting from 13 June all the way till 18 June. Temperatures during this week will remain high during the day, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 43°C to 45°C. IMD's Advice For The Long String Of Heatwaves:
The heat that's going to be looming over Delhi this week may put people at risk if they're exposed to the sun for too long or perform hard labour. Vulnerable sections of Delhi's population like children, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases are especially susceptible to developing heat illness symptoms. IMD has given out the following advice to help combat the heat:
Avoid heat exposure- keep cool.
Avoid dehydration.
Drink sufficient water- even if not thirsty.
Use ORS, homemade drinks like lassi, torani (rice water), lemon water, buttermilk, etc. to keep yourself hydrated.
