Delhi Weather: A Wall Falls Due To Dust Storm, Unexpected Rain; 1 Dead, 2 Injured
Due to unexpected rain and strong dust storm, a wall collapsed in Delhi's Madhu Vihar area on Friday claiming a person's life and two injured. As per an official, the incident happened at an under-construction building. All three injured were swiftly taken to the hospital where one was declared brought dead and two are receiving medical treatment.
Talking to the media, Vineet Kumar, ADCP 1 East Delhi, said, matter has been filed at Madhu Vihar police station. Police will investigate whether the necessary precautions at the construction site were taken or not. Owner and construction managers have been summoned in the matter.

The wall that collapsed was of sixth floor.
"Around 7 pm, we received a PCR call...when we reached the spot, we learned that construction of a 6-floor building was going on and that a wall of the building had collapsed. One person died and two sustained injuries...the injured have been taken to hospital...the wall collapsed during the dust storm," ADCP said.
NDMA 's Alert:
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had issued an alert hours before the dust storm. The alert helped people of Delhi to stay indoors at the time of Dust storm and sprinkles. The dust storm also resulted in disruptions in power supply in some parts of national capital.
If workers at the construction site had stopped working after the alert, the saddening incident might not have occurred.
Delhi Weather Report:
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi for this week. However, the mercury dipped by 10 degrees Celsius as recorded by the Safdarjung weather station.
